NatWest Northumberland OSCAs 2018

The ECB NatWest Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards (OSCAs) are aimed at recognising those volunteers in the recreational game of cricket who give so much of their time to the sport - without these individuals the game would not survive.  The awards provide an ideal opportunity to say thank you to our volunteers for their incredible work and celebrate their success with them.

The deadline for nominations is Sunday 8th July  

The winners of the ECB OSCAs categories will go on to represent Northumberland at the NatWest OSCAs at Lord's on Tuesday 9th October.

Please make every effort to nominate deserving volunteers from cricket clubs.  There are many hard working volunteers, members and officials across the County without whom the game would not survive.

The 6 NatWest OSCAs nomination categories are as follows:

1 Heartbeat of the Club

The special volunteer that your club could simply not do without, often the roles they carry out are behind the scenes.  They often undertake a number of different roles, and they are always there to lend a hand.

 2 Leagues

This award is aimed at recognising the outstanding contribution made by Leagues which help and support an increase in participation and getting more people playing more.

3 Lifetime Achiever 

This individual will have made an outstanding difference to their cricket Club, League, Board or local cricket community over a significant number of years.

4 NatWest CricketForce

A club who has galvanised their members to support NWCF, gained support from local and national business, as well as a liking with the local community in the recruitment of volunteers for the club.

5 Officiating

This award is looking for an official who has visibly increased the quality of officiating and standard player satisfaction of the cricket within their own club, league or County.

6 Young Volunteer

This award is designed to highlight and show the fantastic contribution that young volunteers can make within the game (aged 14-25)

In addition there are two new Northumberland categories:

1 All Stars Cricket Volunteer

This individual will have created a fun and inclusive environment for children and parents alike.  Enthusiastic, vibrant and motivated the nominee will have inspired young children and create a fantastic all-round experience.

2 Women's Softball Volunteer

This award is aimed at an individual who has created a fun, social environment for women to participate in the game, many for the first time.  The nominee will have introduced a fantastic family experience.
